After The Storm IV

A cyanotype and watercolour painting on Saunders Waterford paper, inspired by a trip in the Johnstone Strait, British Columbia. This is based on a photograph Anne Gournay took during a very early morning canoeing trip, trying to catch a glimpse of the local wildlife, especially orcas and dolphins.

This painting started as a hand made cyanotype print, to which Anne added watercolour to modify the contrast, atmosphere and mood of the artwork. Therefore, each painting in this series is unique.
